You can create a Betalo account in our mobile app (available for iPhone and Android). You identify yourself with Mobile BankID. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and pay with Betalo. Betalo is currently only offered to customers who are registered in Sweden, have a Swedish social security number and do not have a protected identity.
A partner card is a card issued by a company or organisation with which Betalo has a partnership. These card issuers offer their customers to use Betalo at a lower fee or completely free of charge. When you add a partner card, the system automatically recognizes which card it is and gives you the correct fee for using Betalo.
Yes, you can name your cards. You will be prompted to do this when you add the card to the app. You can also do it afterwards by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of the card and selecting “change name”.
Betalo uses a simple pricing model with no fixed fees. The service fee for using a partner card ranges from 0% up to 1.9%. The service charge for other cards ranges from 2.9% to 3.9%.
In the Betalo app, add your card by first clicking on the card icon. After clicking on the card icon, press the plus sign in the upper right corner. Then fill in your card details. Click register and then confirm with 3D Secure. The card details are securely stored with the Nets. Betalo never stores your card details.
If your card is denied, it is usually not due to Betalo. We therefore ask you to contact your card issuer for any questions about this. Please check the terms and conditions that your card issuer has for online payments.
All payments you have made can be seen in the app under the Payments tab.
